My father essay in english

Today I am just 16 years old & at this tender age Dad has taught me a lot of things that people at the age of 20 fails to understand. He has taught me what life is all about. He has showed me the way to achieve success. He has showed me the opportunities that exist in front of me. But at the same time he has left the decision up to me in terms of which path to choose. He is very confident that his efforts to make me a good human being will never go in vein. Seeing his confidence in me some day I want to make him proud. I thank God everyday for giving me such a loving and caring father. I also wish to see him in good health for the rest of my life.

I am 14 years old and read in class 9 th standard. I want to continue my favourite hobbies till the end of my life. They would keep me busy, happy and away from all tensions of the daily life. My parents always promote me to continue my all hobbies. They become so happy when I take my problems in easy way and try to solve them without getting anger and tension. My mom says that gardening is a good hobby than other ones; it blesses us because we give life to someone through watering and planting new plants. From my childhood I work daily in my garden for one hour to keep it well maintained. I have made there a nice and attractive green carpet using velvet grass. I have prepared beautiful flowerbeds in every corner of the garden and planted colourful roses, lilies, mogra, sunflowers, and other seasonal flowers. At Christmas, I decorate a big Christmas tree in the mid of my garden and enjoy Christmas celebration with my parents and friends.

When Gandhi does not give Harilal the opportunity to study abroad, it comes as a blow to Harilal. He decides to abandon his father’s vision and leaves South Africa for India where he joins his wife Gulab ( Bhumika Chawla ) and children. He goes back to further his education to earn his diploma but continuously fails and ends in financial ruins. Various plans and schemes decided by him to make money fail, leaving the family in poverty. Sick of his failure, Gulab returns to her parent’s house with the children, where she eventually dies from the flu epidemic. Distraught, Harilal turns to alcohol for solace and converts to Islam , only to re-convert to a different sect of Hinduism later on. With political tension heating up, the rift between Gandhi and his eldest son grows until it is beyond repair. Harilal finds it unbearable to live in the enormous shadow of his father. Gandhi is assassinated before the two can reconcile and Harilal attends his father's funeral virtually as a stranger, almost unrecognizable to those around him. A short while later, he passes away, alone and in poverty, having failed to find his own identity.
